What Is The Percussion Garden?

What is the Percussion Garden? It is a concept and an organisation created and founded by percussionist Peter Jaggle it has many aspects, all dedicated to exploring, growing and nurturing the Art of Percussion.

The Percussion Garden is an actual playable garden of percussion located in a forested valley in the Terania Shire, called the Rainbow Region, in the hinterland behind Byron Bay NSW Australia.

We also produce an innovative and creative stage show, “Music from the Percussion Garden” a performance work of original percussion music, which combines virtuosic percussion performance using instruments and styles from many cultures, experimental instruments and multi-media. This is percussion performance unlike anything you have seen or heard before! We perform Concerts, Festivals, Dance parties and Corporate events. (We also offer Corporate and school workshops)

Our aim is to express and nurture the Art of Percussion through our teaching programs, individual lessons, group classes and workshops. Our “Young Drums” programs cater to young players. We conduct performance workshops in our studios. We publish tutorial books and will soon begin to offer tutorial courses on DVD.

Online, via Skype or facetime we offer individual drumkit lessons and mentoring programs (We have a very good record with HSC performance results, the majority of our students have achieved a mark of 100%). At the heart of the Percussion Garden is the Dragon Gate Studio where we film and record our lessons and show. It is also where we conduct our workshops and lesson programs.
