Peter Jaggle: Musical / Artistic Director

Peter is the creator of the Percussion Garden Concept and the Composer of the Percussion Garden music, he has taught and mentored all of the musicians in the show (and workshoped literally thousands of other people as well).  He has formed, taught and conducted Percussion ensembles up to a thousand strong.

The Percussion Garden Shows:

 

“The Elements” is a full-blown visual, auditory, multi-media spectacular, that gives a rhythmic twist to the five Elements.

“The Elements” is a percussion spectacular! Featuring a stunning soundtrack of original music composed by Peter Jaggle with some Choral sections composed by Michael Hannan one of Australia’s most respected composers.

The show features a totally original and innovative Multi-media display which relates a story told with music and in images projected upon three massive Frame drums. The largest of which is, as far as we can say, the largest diameter drum in Australia. These drums are not just for show, they are real instruments played by our musicians throughout the performance.

 

The music is performed by virtuoso musicians playing a wide variety of percussion instruments from all around the world, as well as some of the most amazing experimental percussion instruments you will see anywhere, for example tuned Mag’ car and truck wheels that sound like the most beautiful and ethereal bells you could imagine. The show is totally original and simply amazing.

The Elements performance consists of two 45-minute halves with an interval.

 

 

“Life the Universe and the Rhythm of Everything”

Is built around the idea that a great many people have a personal belief that “I don’t have a rhythmic bone in my body, and I have no sense of rhythm”. We proceed to dispel this myth and demonstrate that we all indeed have a sense of rhythm and that life cannot exist without it. We involve the audience in a non-threatening, fun way, which is an eye-opener to most people as they discover the extent rhythm does play in their lives and maybe learn how to tap into it for their own enjoyment. The show is serious, educational, funny and original! This is a one-hour show.

We are a Company based on the East Coast of Australia who have a history of National and International touring and acclaim.

We performed a draft version of our initial idea of The Percussion Garden two years ago to a sold-out theatre on a shoestring publicity budget. The audience response was amazing and we received two standing ovations and great reviews. The show has since gone through two years of further rehearsal, paring down and polishing to bring it to the stage where we are now happy to take it to the world.
